Max McDermott is a wandering monk who just has adventures or whatever. Sometimes ladies fall in love with him, but then his enemies kill them and he does the thing where he karates them and they’re already dead just take three steps. He makes guys explode. He is a pro at making guys explode.

To forget about the killing, Max McDermott paints, draws and pushes himself in other artistic endeavors. His parents are Austin music royalty: Joe McDermott, of Radiola, Grains of Faith and solo work, and Kim Longachre, of Zeitgeist/The Reivers. Because of his good genes, Max sings a song at the end of every episode. Next season he is going to live in a house with twelve half-cat/half-ladyboys.
